It's been almost a month now since our last update. Weston intended to write this next one, but he never had a chance to. He even posted the subject on our blog dashboard. Well, I tried to come up with a subject that's as cool as the one he thought of, but I couldn't. So here we go: the 'no subject' blog.
What happened this past month? First of all, Weston was sick with this unbearable pain in his stomach. On June 3 at 4 AM, I woke up with Weston groaning next to me. He walked around the room and couldn't sit for an hour. So we decided that we had to go to the ER at the Bangkok Hospital. We got there at almost 6 am. The doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong so she gave him two shots of painkiller to see if the pain would go away. It did for an hour. Then the pain was back again so we decided that Weston would have to stay at the hospital. He ended up staying there for the night and got all the necessary check-ups (He might post what check-ups he went through later. He was about to do it, but he was just afraid that it's too gross for some people :P). The next day we came home and it was the weekend so Weston was able to take a little rest from work. But when he went back to work on Monday, the pain came back. So he left work early and went to the hospital again. It was so stressful. I was worried that it would be something severe. But anyway, he seems fine now at this moment as we are awaiting the check-up results. Hopefully, the results will favor us.
I finally finished that translation and I'd never been happier...literally. Now I'm just waiting for the check. It's supposed to come at the end of this month so I'm excited. Once I get the check, every effort and all the hard-work I put into this job will pay off. Can't wait!!!
I started working at a new place. It has a pretty nice working environment. Everyone seems welcoming. But I still miss Milan Crosse. I finally know the reason why I didn't get my salary last month. Someone in there is being dishonest with the company and everyone in the company. It was shocking. It hurts to know that someone who you think is your friend stabs your back...all along. I'm not mad, but sad because I know that our friendship will never be the same...
June 16 was Weston's birthday. We didn't do anything much because I hadn't gotten my check at that time. We just enjoyed the day together. It was nice and I loved it. I think the highlight of the day was when we made cookies...actually more like when we tried to find all the ingredients to make cookies. That was a hassle! We didn't want to get any imported ingredients that the supermarket had because they were too pricey. Instead, we got local ingredients and improvised substitutions for some of them. The cookies turned out great. Weston is very talented when it comes to making cookies. I also love the steaks he makes. I am not a steak-lover, but for Weston's steaks, I just can't stop drooling over them! I didn't have any birthday present for him except a letter I wrote to him. I need to try to be a better wife...
Last Monday was our 5-month anniversary. We got ourselves some spaghetti and just had good time together. We were too tired to do anything. Working is not that bad...just the commuting to and from work that is torturing us.
We are planning to go to Cambodia this weekend to renew Weston's visa and also to visit Angkor Wat. We'll let you know how it goes.
There are many things going on in our lives. And we are grateful to know that we are not doing them alone. Besides support from the family, we also have our Heavenly Father who has got our back. We are very blessed and fortunate to be able to be together in spite of all the hardship. I'm grateful for all the sacrifices Weston has made to make it possible for us to be together....
